Willy Ward 2
Christian, Michelle and Wilbur are at the park playing with him on the swings. Christian tells Michelle that she is a natural mom. He tells her that he starts proceedings to adopt him legally, and wants her to be his mother. She tells him she needs to think about it – she needs to be sure. Christian, in this weird alternate world character development is super considerate and understand. Little do they know though that James is spying on them at the park, and puts in a phone call to her bosses asking if they want children’s kidneys. What a sick and wonderfully twisted way to start an episode, right?
Christian in a consultation with Sean, asking a patient named Ms. Hudson what she’s interested in. She wants her breasts done – Christian, of course, is super flirty. Sean is way more direct and to the point. Sean is trying to get business done, but the patient says she wants Christian to do her surgery. Really, we know she wants to date Christian – but he tells her that he is engaged. She’s disappointed, but she still wants him as her surgeon. Sean looks on confused and a little upset.
Sean comes into the ER during the procedure, and tells Christian he wants to help with the operation. Christian tells Sean that just because his ego is bruised does not mean he needs help with the surgery. Liz jumps in as the mediator, aptly telling the men that women have two breasts for a reason – which apparently is so that one can operate on one and the other can operate on the other. Another nurse comes into the OR and tells Sean there is another patient at the offices to see him, and she indicates he’s a little crazy.
Sean is in the consultation, and it turns out that the patient looking for the consult is a vantriliquist who wants to look like his dummy, Ralphie. This plotline is absolutely hilarious to me. When Sean suggests that instead of plastic surgery the man get a new puppet, the puppet lunges for Sean. Seriously, this one scene is brilliant. Sean then cuts to a vision of Christian as his better looking dummy.
Kimber in therapy with her Scientologist coach, telling her that sex with Matt is boring. The woman is asking her whether she is following her Scientologist principals. Kimber starts having visions of her former, slutty, sexier self wondering what happened to the woman she used to be. Her conscious is kicking in, asking her why she is believing in this religion. She’s clearly doubting the decisions she’s making in her life – about Scientology and about Matt. Kimber snaps out of it, and lies down on the couch to relax. But she cannot escape the visions of her older self.
Christian gives Michelle a picture that Wilbur drew of his new family – Christian, himself, and Michelle. She takes the picture and says she is going to have it framed. Christian walks in his office, and Gina is sitting in his chair. She says she is there on business – she wants to see Wilbur. Christian reminds her that she has no legal right to be involved in Wilbur’s life. She says she’s cleaned up. She tried to stay in his life, and she cleaned herself up because of Wilbur. She wants shared custody, and begs Christian to allow her to have a relationship with Wilbur.
Sean in the operating room to perform surgery on the ventriloquist. He is clearly worried about the well-being of his puppet, Ralphie, while he is under for the surgery. He thanks Sean for not judging him about wanting to look like Ralphie even though he realizes it’s a little kooky. In the middle of the surgery, Poppy storms into the OR begging for Liz to call her back … to talk things out. Poppy and Liz get into an argument that ends in the finalizing of their break-up. Sean didn’t know they broke up, but Liz says that it just didn’t feel right to be together no matter how much she loved her. Sean walks out of the OR.
Michelle walks into her apartment, and James is there playing with Wilbur. Michelle takes Wilbur and tells James to get out. She tells James that if she comes near Wilbur she’ll kill him. James utters some cryptic statement about him being plump and juicy and then walks out.
Sean wonders into the waiting area and finds Matt sitting there. Matt says he’s actually there to speak to Christian. Sean is confused because Matt isn’t speaking to Christian. When Matt confirms that he isn’t speaking to Christian but this was an emergency, Sean reminds Matt that he is also his father and always there to give him advice. Matt tells Sean that he and Kimber are having bedroom troubles. Sean goes into doctor mode, asking Matt very technical questions. Matt points out that this is why he wanted to speak to Christian – he knows how to make her hot, and Sean is just an embarrassing doctor asking questions. Sean goes into a graphic description of what he did with Kimber, which only reminds Matt that Christian probably did so much more.
Michelle and Christian are at dinner with Wilbur, and she tells him that she wants to adopt Wilbur. Michelle signs the papers, and it’s a done deal. Then in comes Gina. She followed them to the restaurant, and freaks out when she finds out that Michelle signed the paperwork to become Wilbur’s adoptive mother. Sean restrains her, but she keeps fighting. She makes it clear that she is not going to give up fighting until she gets Wilbur back.
Kimber comes home, calling for Matt. He’s got a camera crew in their bedroom and he tells Kimber that the two of them are going to make a porn together. Kimber seems upset at first, telling him that those days are over. Matt even found Kimber’s old mentor to direct the video – he pulled out all the stops since the video would be for them and they’d watch it all the time. Kimber gets convinced, and filming proceeds. Kimber is clearly excited, and in an instant snaps back into the old Kimber as they have porn star sex for the cameras.
Sean takes Willy Ward’s stitches out, and he couldn’t be happier. He wants to show Ralphie how it turned out, and again, this interaction is unbelievably hilarious to me. Ralphie starts abusing Willy, telling him he looks terrible. Sean, stating the obvious, just tells him to put the puppet down. Ralphie looks at Sean and tells him that he can’t – clearly Willy needs Ralphie’s façade to communicate with anyone and live his life.
Christian and Michelle are at the park again with Wilbur. Christian tells Michelle he wants to order in as opposed to going to their dinner reservations. Christian thinks he sees Gina, but it turns out to be a stranger. Michelle, seeing Christian’s interaction with this stranger, let’s another girl on the playground watch after Wilbur while she goes over to Christian. James is continuing to spy on Wilbur from outside the playground. Michelle tells Christian she wants to get a restraining order against Gina and a security force at the house. Christian looks back, and Wilbur is gone. Christian goes up to the little girl who was pushing him on the screen, and she tells him that he left the park with the lady.
Kimber and Matt are still doing role play to heighten their sex life – even at her OBGYN appointment. Apparently the gyno is also a Scientologist, and he starts talking to her about aggressive sex while pregnant. He discovered the video on Lena’s website, and a Church member found it that morning. He tells her that it might be too late for her to ever go back.
Michelle is frantically searching through their apartment when Christian calls to tell her that the police are on the case and they are going to find Wilbur. Michelle feels terrible – like this is her fault. In walks James holding a gun, the gun Michelle was looking for, at Michelle. Michelle wants to know what she did with Wilbur and James gives her a cryptic answer. James confesses that she once had a son, Jonathan, but he had a genetic disorder that caused his kidneys to fail when he was 18 months old. Ironic, isn’t it? James rationalized causing Michelle the pain that she feels everyday. When it occurs to Michelle that James killed Wilbur, she breaks down crying. James turns the gun on herself and pulls the trigger. At that moment the phone rings, and it’s Christian saying that Wilbur is safe and they’ll be home soon. James didn’t kill Wilbur – she just can’t take the pain of all the loss in her life, including losing Michelle, and took her own life.
It turns out that Gina took him. Wilbur cried the entire time they were together, and now she wants nothing to do with him. Christian tells her to get out, and tells her that he’ll be pressing charges. She tells Christian that she thought she wanted him, but she just doesn’t have the parenting instinct. Gina says goodbye to Wilbur.
Christian is telling Sean about what happened with James, and Sean is horrified that no one told him that James was Michelle’s pimp. Sean then wants to know why they didn’t tell him about Wilbur. Michelle speaks up – she says that she asked Christian not to tell him about James, and they didn’t want to worry him about Wilbur. Christian tells Sean they all need to move on, and that everything in his life is falling into place. Sean then leans in and tells Christian he wants to be bought out – he wants to sell his portion of the practice. Sean tells Christian that he’s blamed Christian for his unhappiness for years – but now he realizes that his blame was really just a cover-up for his jealousy. Sean doesn’t know who he is without Christian, but he needs to discover that for himself. He is planning on leaving Miami, and even though he’s thrilled for Christian, he needs to go take care of himself now.
Michelle is walking to her car in the garage, gets in, and finds Escobar Gallardo sitting in the passenger seat. He tells Michelle that James worked for him, and now that she is dead, Michelle is going to take her place. He pulls out a gun, points it at Michelle, and tells her to drive.
