Teri Hatcher bathes in wine…and glows

How's a 'Desperate Housewives' taking her popular TV role too seriously and going overboard – swimming, bathing in wine? Teri Hatcher must be real desperate (although we haven’t heard of her drunken misfits like Lindsay's and Britney's).

Teri does bathe in wine, for good measure -- a therapy she willingly undergoes to achieve a glowing skin. The science behind: The polyphenols found in grapes jump-start circulation to reveal healthier glowing softer skin.

The New York Daily News reported that Kym Douglas, host of the Lifetime makeover show "Queen," and celebrity journalist Cindy Pearlman have put together "The Black Book of Hollywood Beauty Secrets," which, as the promoters say will have "the secrets of Hollywood’s most beautiful women."

With a bit of sensationalism and a whole lot of beauty insights and tips, the book advises: pour one cup of red wine (don't worry about stains on skin or tub) into a warm bath, put a few rose petals on top, jump in, and stay for 20 minutes.

Teri Hatcher does confirm by revealing that she uses old wine and lets the sediments sink to the bottom of the tub. "I scoop them up in the tub and use them as an exfoliant. The only bad thing is you can't drink the whole bottle of wine," she says.
