Cosmetic surgery ads facing ban
The Australian government is really pretty much into cosmetic surgery regulation these days. Just recently, Victoria’s Medical Practitioners Board is set to address the issue of banning cosmetic surgery ads that showcase before and after photographs which create false expectations of what the actual surgery can achieve.

Patients wished they had done better research prior to surgery
The American Society of Plastic Surgeons conducted a survey among patients who have undergone plastic surgery. The survey was designed to assess the differences between 301 patients who had cosmetic surgery such as breast augmentation, tummy tuck, and liposuction; and 316 patients who had medically necessary surgery such as gynecologic, orthopedic, and ophthalmic surgery.

It’s just that every time these folks would like to get a nip here and a tuck there to improve their looks, they are obliged to pay more. For the state. As law-abiding citizens.
Why? Because a certain lawmaker named Phyllis Khan is pushing to extend the state’s 6.5 percent sales tax to cosmetic surgery and other procedures such as chemical peels, laser hair removal and spider vein treatments.

More men opt for surgery to get rid of man boobs
Not all men are like Simon Cowell who is never bothered by his man boobs. Some are silently suffering because of shame that their supposed-to-be sculpted chests are actually unsightly pieces of dangling breasts.
