A call to ban cosmetic surgery makeovers on minors
In New South Wales, the opposition group wants cosmetic surgery banned for people under 18. This is in response to the increasing number of teenagers getting cosmetic surgery such as breast augmentation, rhinoplasty, and others.
The laws that will be introduced in July would include putting teens who want cosmetic surgery in a three-month cooling-off period which is aimed at cutting down unnecessary surgeries.
However, the NSW government has no plan to ban cosmetic surgery for minors. This is what the spokeswoman for NSW Health Minister Reba Meagher said. This triggered Jillian Skinner, opposition health spokeswoman to call for a total ban on cosmetic surgery for those under 18 years old. She said that young people who are struggling with body image issues must not be allowed to undergo cosmetic surgery.
Cosmetic Foot Surgery Procedures
Women crave for perfection. They want everything to look great from head to toe. This is why cosmetic surgery is not only limited to the face, breast, and tummy, but also includes those little things we usually ignore – the toes.
Beautiful feet and toes are just another way for women to showcase their physical assets. It would be quite disappointing to look at a woman with very impressive features but with a pair of messed up feet. The look of a woman’s feet might be ruined by perennial use of high heel shoes and other foot abuse. It is therefore important that women also take care of their feet as much as they take care of their face.
Cosmetic Injectable Labeling and Use
Consumers are often confused with the terms “investigational” and “off-label” when they deal with cosmetic injectables. This is due to the fact that these terms are often used interchangeably, somehow implying that they mean the same. However, they are not.
In order to solve the dilemma, the Physicians Coalition for Injectable Safety offers some guidelines and definitions in order for consumers to understand these terms properly.
Coalition leader Roger Daily, MD of Portland, Oregon explained that a label containing a specific consumer safety information is required by the Food and Drug Administration after a drug or medical devices has been approved. "There are very specific labeling requirements including things such as brand name, drug content, the indications for a drug or device, dosing, adverse reactions, warnings and even data obtained from clinical studies," Daily added.

Facelift surgery popular among women in UK
With the increasing popularity of non-invasive facial cosmetic procedures such as Botox injections and collagen, one would think that this is now the new trend in removing wrinkles and achieving a younger looking skin. Hard-sell cosmetic surgery clinics revealed
It is undeniable that cosmetic surgery has extremely become popular thanks to the continued patronage of celebrities and middle-class women. And now that a great number of men are embracing both the invasive and non-invasive aspects of the cosmetic surgery industry, there's no other way to go but up.
However, in Britain, the cosmetic surgery industry is experiencing quite a disturbance to its otherwise smooth flow. The industry has been criticized for using illegal advertisements and employing hard-sell tactics that seem to imply that everyone is out there for profit and not for patient welfare.
