Tara Reid’s Public Service

Tara Reid may have been portrayed by gossip tabloids and blogs as a drunken party girl these past few years. But ever since she came out to tell the world about the plastic surgery disasters that she had to go through, Ms. Reid has been performing a public service constantly appearing on TV shows and granting magazine interviews to warn the public about incompetent plastic surgeons.

This week, the Today show played host to Tara, who once again spilled her guts out about how traumatic her plastic surgery experience was for her. Click here to see the video.

Well of course, not a few people remark that the sight of Tara Reid doing the rounds of TV shows is nothing more than just a publicity stunt, a desperate move of a virtual has-been to save whatever’s left of her flagging career. But whatever Tara’s intentions are, she certainly is educating the people, that there are indeed incompetent plastic surgeons out there, and she has the scars, physical or otherwise, to prove it.

In other words, don’t be like Tara. When considering plastic surgery, you better choose a qualified surgeon. You can do that by doing a background check. It would also serve you well to see his or her track record, and if possible, ask that surgeon’s former patients about their plastic surgery experience. If their stories sound anywhere near like Tara’s tale, find another one. There are a lot of really good plastic surgeons out there.
