Plastic surgery around the globe
A shocking global survey reveals that almost half of the women around the world would change their looks if they could. Now, that suggests plastic surgery is really a global trend. On the darker side, this goes to show that women are really so drawn to the concept of getting great looks in order to be successful in life.
Synovate reports that 40% of the women surveyed would like to change their looks if they had the money.
The survey was conducted by asking a sample of over 7,000 people from various countries such as Brazil, Bulgaria, Korea, Spain, South Africa, and the United States about how they defined beauty. The purpose of the research was to find out where people from different cultures see themselves on the beauty scale, and whether they would change anything about their looks.
The results show that one in five people will go under the knife as long as they can afford it. Thirty-five percent said that beauty is what’s on the inside and that looks don’t really cover the entirety of the concept. Another 32 percent said that they can be beautiful as long as they have confidence and they know how to carry themselves properly.
Overall, 19% of the respondents across the globe would undergo plastic surgery in order to enhance their appearance. Among all the races, Brazilians are the most enthusiastic when it comes to looking good and would go through incisions just to get it. 12% of men and a quarter of all women stressed that they would have cosmetic or plastic surgery if they can afford it.
We can clearly see that the trend of looking good and feeling good is a global affair.
