Jamie Lee Curtis thinks plastic surgery caused her addiction

Jaime Lee Curtis is known to be against plastic surgery. She has spoken openly about plastic surgery being a fraud among other things. Recently, Jaime Lee reveals a new reason why she hates plastic surgery.

The Freaky Friday star who has admitted to undergoing an eyelid surgery when she was 35, said that she became hooked on pain pills after her surgery. She said that she has become so addicted that she stole pills from her sister, Kelly.

Jamie blames plastic surgery for her addiction. She said that her eyelid surgery, Botox, and liposuction, might have caused her abuse of painkillers and alcohol.

“I attempted various types of plastic surgery, minutely but enough to stave off this encroaching middle-aged body. And every time I did, something went wrong. I felt misshapen, just not natural any more. I think it was a big stimulator of my drug abuse.”

She managed to recover from her addiction on drugs and alcohol after she saw the devastating effects it brought on her daughter, Anne. Jaime is now using her experience to help others who are going through the things that she went through in the past.

However, we have yet to see a definite study that presents that correlation between plastic surgery and addiction in order for us to give credit to what Jaime is promoting. She might have just fallen victim to the pressures of beauty, and that caused her to have some kind of dependency dilemmas.
