Gynecomastia gone in hours

There is a quick-fix procedure suited for men who are complaining about their large man breasts - a condition known as gynecomastia.

Plastic surgery experts recently attended the Health Asia 2008 Exhibition and Conference on Cosmetic Surgery at the Karachi Expo Centre. In here, discussions about the latest achievements in cosmetic surgery have been discussed and highlighted.

One of the highlights of the conference is the discussion of the methods in order to address the medical anomaly known as gynecomastia. Breast reduction surgery is mainly the procedure used to deal with this issue. And plastic surgeons are still on the process of finding more convenient ways to address this, especially on techniques that require lesser downtime for the patient. The cosmetic procedures for gynecomastia take one or two hours and can be performed under local or general anesthesia.

Women, on the other hand, are haunted by underdeveloped breasts and flabby tummies. These concerns were also tackled in the conference. Both conditions can be rectified through breast enhancement and liposuction or tummy tuck, granted that the patient meets the necessary requirements prior to the surgery.

Dr. Humayun Mohmand, managing director of the Hair Transplant Institute, warned that everyone should go to the right surgeon for the procedure. He also stressed that procedures like hair transplant should be considered an art more than a science because it takes expertise and creativity to understand that the patient’s culture and race are important in the procedure.

The conference paved the way for surgeons to share their knowledge and expertise especially in dealing with issues that affect the bodies of both men and women.
