"The Body" Changes View on Plastic Surgery
International supermodel and actress Elle MacPherson, dubbed "The Body," expressed her opinions regarding cosmetic procedures and injectible treatments -- accordingly, her views "have softened in recent years."
Quoting from a statement released by the World Entertainment News Network:
"What I'm saying now is that you don't necessarily have to go and have surgery, that women can make a choice. Having fun in life is so important. I realize my capacity to have fun and embrace life has increased as I become older. These are the things that give me energy."
Elle, a breast cancer awareness advocate said that she is now more accepting about plastic surgery. "It's the right choice for some people," added the Australia native, who once shocked her fans and critics after posing nude for Playboy magazine.
The change of perspective came at a time when the 42-year-old and mother of two – and still shapely beauty was chosen to be the new face of an anti-ageing product for Australian beauty brand ModelCo, being promoted as a cheaper alternative to Botox® Injections.
Elle is six feet tall and possesses a voluptuous 37D. She appeared on the cover of Sports Illustrated magazine’s annual swimsuit issue, a record four times, including three years in a row.
Elle owns a successful lingerie brand, Elle Macpherson Intimates and has published two best-selling calendars in which she appeared in see-through tops.
