Courtney Love wants her old mouth back
Courtney Love is one of the victims of blown-up lips caused by a botched lip augmentation. Another casualty might very well be Lisa Rinna. Courtney's dissatisfaction with her current look has reached to a point where she is planning to have her old mouth back.
Love enhanced her lips a few years ago using a semi-permanent filler or silicone. The results were far from great as her lips look permanently uneven. She then expressed regret over her lip enhancement and realized that there was nothing with her lips in the first place.
Because of the current discontent of the way her lips look, Courtney Love plans to undergo another corrective cosmetic surgery on her lips. Just recently, Love wrote on her MySpace blog that she is determined to go back to her French plastic surgeon to fix her lips and restore their natural look.
Victoria Beckham admits to having breast implants
Victoria 'Posh' Beckham has been denying rumors about her having breast implants, despite the fact that her breasts look so round and large for her small, frail figure.
During her NBC television special “Victoria Beckham: Coming to America”, Posh might have unintentionally slipped up and referred to her having fake boobs. Posh was seen at a Los Angeles Dodgers baseball game, throwing the first pitch. As she walks off the field, Posh was quite worried that her fast pitch might have dislodged her implants. Good thing though, Posh’s D-size rack remains intact.
“I really thought that one of my silicones was going to fly out of my armpit then, “ says Victoria to the camera. However, Posh managed to take back her word and said that her breasts are not really big in the flesh.

A new research has released interesting finding concerning a way to get rid of annoying facial wrinkles.
The researchers of the National Institute of Water and Atmospheric Research (NIWA) studied the effects of fish waste on human skin cells and found that is was highly effective in getting rid of wrinkles. Fish waste also improves the skin cells in the body, making them look healthier than ever.
The research has been conducted for over a period of five years. The researchers used wastes from more than 150 different species of fish. They also used the skin, liver parts of the gut, the eyes, and the gills in the study to make sure they can get the accurate findings after the experiment. They also employ skin cells grown in test tubes to determine the effects of fish waste on the human skin.
Butt lift techniques
Today, enhancing your bottoms has become one of the most popular requests in plastic surgery clinics lately. Men and women are trying to get the extra attention by showing their bubble butts and curvy bottoms.
Butt lift surgery is mainly the surgical procedure performed to enhance the buttocks. However, plastic surgeons are becoming advocates of non-invasive procedures that’s why they prefer to give patients non-invasive laser aided procedures than surgical ones.
Surgeons often use injectable chemicals to lift the buttocks. These injectables usually contain deoxycholate, phosphatidyl choline and are injected into the area the patient wants fat removed. Patients are required to have the treatment every 6 weeks and three to four treatments at least for maximum benefits. The treatment costs 500 to 750 bucks per session.
The lunch-hour boob job
Who would have thought that a major cosmetic surgery procedure such as a breast augmentation already has a minimally invasive counterpart --- the lunch-hour boob job.
The lunch-hour boob job achieves breast enlargement by injecting a supercharged fat mixture into the patient’s breast. The fat is taken from the women’s tummy, buttocks, or things using a minor liposuction procedure under local anesthetic.
This minimally invasive procedure is named Celution and is not yet available in the United States. The technique will first focus on breast reconstruction for women with breast cancer and have undergone mastectomy or lumpectomy.
Breast reduction popular among men
Statistics show that nearly 14,000 males had breast reductions in 2006. This speaks a lot of how men are treating their man-boobs problem very seriously.
At first glance, breast reduction and boys don’t quite seem to go together but reality says that thousands of men go to plastic surgeons to reduce the size of their breasts.
It is a general notion that older men are the ones going under the knife to address their gynecomastia problems. However, younger men in their early twenties also have the same complain.
Alex Rees, 22 years old, has been tormented by his enlarged breasts in his adolescence. He was shied away by friends because of his large breasts.
New procedure brings back smile
A new procedure called Temporalis Tendon Transfer is used to restore the ability to smile to patients with facial paralysis. This procedure is combined with intense physical therapy before and after surgery and could help similarly stricken patients right away. Through this procedure, surgeons detach, reroute, and reattach a muscle for chewing, thereby, allowing patients to bring back their smile.
Dr. Patrick Byrne, director of facial plastic and reconstructive surgery in the department of otolaryngology and head and neck surgery at The John Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore, said that Temporalis Tendon Transfer is a very doable procedure and it is very applicable on a wide scale.

Jessica Simpson - leg liposuction?
Jessica Simpson was recently spotted leaving a fitness gym in a pair of small shorts that reveal much of her legs, which some people believe to be irregularly shaped. This peculiar shape of Jessica’s thighs and calves led people to think that she just had a leg liposuction which didn’t produce great results.
Those who claim that Jessica’s legs underwent a liposuction surgery said that the photos show a small bit of dimpling on the side of the top of Jessica’s upper thigh. The dimpling may have been caused by uneven liposuction results.
Botox treatments sold via clothing catalogue
A UK clothing catalogue, Grattan, offers customers a range of non-surgical procedures such as Botox from Transform Cosmetic Surgery. As expected, the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons issued a warning that making such treatments “off-the-shelf” could undermine the seriousness of the procedures.
However, Transform Cosmetic Surgery defends its stance, saying the prior to the sales, consumers received a consultation and were fully informed before undergoing any procedure.
Aside from Botox, the Grattan catalogue also offers lip enhancement and skin peels and even allows customers to pay in installments.
